Best Time of Day to Exercise

The very best time of day to exercise is first thing in the morning. If you love sleep, wait, hear me out!

I love to sleep myself. I'd rather be looking at the back of my eyelids than my alarm clock at 4:45 am. But I pull it off regularly and you can too.

Here are 3 reasons why early morning exercise is best for you:

  1. Studies show that our brains function better when we get up and move our bodies first thing in the morning. It awakens our body and refreshes the mind after a good night's sleep.
  2. Studies also show that our lymphatic system cleanses better when we move first thing in the morning. This relates to number 1 but it means that we clear out stagnate things that otherwise stay stuck in our lymphatic system causing problems in the body. This also improves our immune system!
  3. It's a great way to start your day and you sleep better at night. Because you are moving your body first thing in the morning you are helping yourself wake up and thereby creating an awake period during the day. This means that you will fall asleep quicker and sleep more soundly than those who do not move first thing in the morning.

As always I have to mention THOUGHT HABITS. Your morning routine and how you talk to yourself first thing in the morning has a way of making you or breaking you.

I have learned that what I tell myself first thing in the morning makes my day so much better. I say "It's going to be a great day!" And I smile a great big smile.😀 

This is my thought habit first thing in the morning and I have an entire morning routine that benefits my entire day. Let's just say I rarely have a bad day! If I do  I just re-write the day like Neville Goddard teaches with the pruning shears of revision.

This also helps me get out of bed, a place I'd rather stay on a cold Monday morning. But I do it and it just feels great!!

Want a great way to start your day? Move your body for at least 30 minutes a day. Get that heart rate pumping to at least 75% of your max number. You'll notice a grand difference in your days and nights.
